ABOUT THE ROLE

 

You will be part of our Research department, which serves as the cornerstone of CFM’s business with over 80 dedicated professionals. The team is responsible for developing our trading strategies through meticulous data analysis.

As a Quant Macro Analyst, you will play a key role in our collaborative environment, working closely with our Business Development and Marketing teams, as well as our Heads of Portfolio Management, to provide comprehensive analysis of financial market and macroeconomic developments.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Performance Reporting: Writing of detailed monthly performance reports for our full suite of funds, drawing insights from market and macroeconomic developments.

  • Scientific Marketing: Contribute to the creation of scientifically grounded marketing and thought leadership materials, working with other teams/departments for the distribution of industry leading content.

  • Markets and Macroeconomic Research: Carry out ad hoc project work and other ancillary tasks as assigned by the macro research team.

  • Presentations: Prepare engaging and informative slides for external presentations such as international conferences.

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Educational Background: Master’s level coursework in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, or Statistics from a reputable school.

  • Experience: Ideal position for a recent graduate. Previous experience in internship or permanent contract (up to 2 years) appreciated.

  • Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python and various statistical packages.

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg (not required but a plus).

  • Good communication / interpersonal skills

  • Passion for financial markets and writing.

  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail.

  • Language Proficiency: Native English speaker.
