Your Role
We are a systematic investment firm composed of 400+ employees, based in Paris, New York, London and Toronto. Our business is to create mathematical models to invest in financial markets. Our employees are mainly engineers or PhDs with very scientific profiles who love math, physics and data science.
In this internship you will learn about financial markets and science-related jobs: research, data science and investor relations. Data science links mathematics and programming.
This internship is designed for you if you love science and would like to learn more about how programming and mathematics can be applied to the world of work. If you did a bit of coding in your spare time (Python or others) and you loved programming lessons at school, this internship could be for you.
Who should apply?
- This internship is for young women who are thinking about a future career in finance and/or math/science for an internship between junior and senior years. Applicants should live and attend school in one of the five boroughs of New York City or have a housing option during the internship in New York City.
Where will the internship be?
- The internship will be at CFM’s New York offices in Manhattan.
When will the internship be?
- July 13-24
How will the weeks be organized?
- You will spend time shadowing and learning from CFM’s professionals in 1) Research 2) Data Science and 3) Investor Relations
What will be provided?
- Lunch will be provided and we will provide paid 2x 1-week MetroCard for use on the NYC subway system
