ABOUT THE ROLE
In collaboration with the Research teams, the Front Prediction team develops and maintains the ‘Prediction’ (Alpha generation) platform used to generate trading decisions.
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer (specialising in AWS), you will play a key role in adapting our existing programmes, deploying and managing our cloud infrastructures on AWS, and participating in the development of the team's various technical stacks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and automating deployment and continuous integration (CI/CD) processes on AWS.
- Optimising the performance of applications hosted on AWS and guaranteeing their availability.
- Configuring and managing AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) to meet project requirements.
- Working with development teams to improve delivery cycles and product quality.
- Ensuring the security of AWS environments by implementing IAM and security management best practices.
- Monitoring AWS environments to ensure performance and compliance with security standards.
- Developing, updating and maintaining the team's technical components (calculation distribution, memory management, etc.);
- Contributing to the design of the technical and application architecture;
- Participating in the technological transformation of the Prediction platform (Cloud in particular);
- Working to optimise the performance and reliability of the Prediction platform;
- Develop tools to facilitate the team's activities (e.g. pre-production checks, analysis of anomalies in production, comparison of results/performance, etc.);
- Updating applications as part of periodic version upgrades (internal distribution of data science, OS/security patch updates, etc.);
- Automate and improve production testing and deployment processes and tools;
SKILLS
You are a passionate engineer with a scientific degree, ideally with initial experience in market finance (equity / futures / high-frequency trading). You have high work ethics, and :
- Good communication skills and a strong team spirit
- Good command of English
- Experience dealing with production applications
- A constant desire to improve what already exists
- A significant professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, with proven expertise on AWS.
- Solid scripting skills for automation (Python, Bash, AWS CLI).
In addition, you are familiar with :
- the automation and configuration management tools specific to AWS (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
- AWS security practices and compliance frameworks (CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, AWS Well-Architected Framework).
- Jenkins and Docker CI/CD and containerisation tools.
- Git
Finally,
- Linux is your natural environment
- You are keen to ensure an excellent level of code quality, testing and user support
- A good knowledge of Pandas is a plus
- Ideally you are familiar with Oracle and SQL queries
