The context :

 

Data is the fuel that powers our investment strategies: intraday price dynamics are used to better our investment decisions; buy/sell intents of market participants help to trade at the best available price… CFM Data team is in charge preparing the data to make quant research easier and trading more reliable.

 

The position

 

As a data engineer, you will contribute to the success of our strategies by integrating new datasets, developing predictive features and automating their extraction. This includes:

  • Hand in hand feature development with quantitative researchers
  • Industrialization of features extraction pipelines (deployment, data cleaning, monitoring)
  • Assisting with research, development, and operations related to machine learning models
  • Domain ownership of several datasets

 

Your profile

 

  • Experience in programming languages (python, C++), data manipulation libraries (pandas, spark, polars) and Linux environments (shell, git, slurm)
  • Hands-on understanding of machine learning processes.
  • Previous experience working with tick-by-tick data is a plus
  • Team player, able to communicate with quant teams
  • Strong coding skills with an interest for technology
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, with a commitment to professional development and continuous learning
  • >5 years of experience
  • Education: MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related Computer Engineering or Science curriculum
