ABOUT THE ROLE
The Team:
Data Referential – Directional is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of data related to CFM trading universe. It operates at the intersection of data management, technology, and finance by managing critical data that drives diversified investment strategies, with a primary focus on derivatives instruments.
In a context of solid growth, the team is looking for a talented Data Engineer specialized in Fixed Income to support additional business initiatives and shape the future of investments success at CFM.
Mission:
As a Data Engineer at CFM and in collaboration with your team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust pipelines to collect and distribute data to the firm.
As a Fixed Income specialist, you will be the point of contact with research, gathering their needs and delivering data necessary for the models.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary contact for research on bonds: collect needs, provide training, and offer assistance.
· Implement the bonds workflow (referential, prices, other data...) at CFM, from data integration to data delivery, in close collaboration with research, aimed at generating signals or trading.
· Refine data model and management in line with business expectations.
· Evaluate current providers and suggest new data sources to enhance the value of bond reference data..
· Participate in other developments within the team across different functional areas, in the AWS Datalake.
· Maintain existing pipelines and join the team’s support rotation.
· Collaborate efficiently with the Data Platform team to smoothly integrate into CFM and Data technological ecosystem, stack and standards.
SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed income.
• Functional specialist in bonds (government / corporate).
• Proficiency in programming languages and data processing frameworks (Python, Pandas, etc.)
• Comfortable with SQL (views, packages, etc.)
• Experience / knowledge with AWS will be appreciated.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both French and English.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, with a commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
