ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We are a global systematic multi-strategy hedge fund trading quantitative strategies for institutional investors invested in funds and customized Managed Account solutions.

As part of the continued development of our fast growing Managed Accounts service, we are seeking a Head of Managed Accounts to oversee the services provided to our clients. The role is focused on the post-onboarding ownership of Managed Accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our Managed Accounts offering operates smoothly over time, remains aligned with agreed frameworks, and evolves appropriately as strategies, platforms, and investor requirements change. The role does not involve hands-on day-to-day operational processing, but rather provides senior oversight, coordination, and accountability across internal teams and external service providers.

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations professional with experience in alternative investments products and knowledge of main regulatory frameworks applicable to the structuring of managed accounts (1940 Act, AIFMD, UCITS) to play a key transversal role within our Hedge Fund Operations team.

Based in Paris, reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will also act as an interface between the Operations team and the Business Development, Legal and Regulatory teams, ensuring coordination, efficient execution and quality of Managed Account services across the organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Onboarding

  • Participate in the onboarding task force.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from onboarding into steady-state lifecycle ownership post-launch

 

Managed Accounts Lifecycle Oversight

  • Responsible for the quality of operations for Managed Accounts post launch
  • Ensure Managed Accounts continue to operate in line with agreed operational, legal, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor changes in strategies, trading activity, platforms, or service providers and assess operational impact
  • Proactively communicate with Business Development on operational changes that may impact the client
  • Act as the escalation point for material operational issues or changes affecting a Managed Account
  • Planning implementation of new client requests / events post on-boarding

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Support our Business Development team when updating investors on Managed Account developments
  • Participate in investor meetings at the request of our IR team
  • Serve as a senior contact for service providers to Managed Accounts such as managed account platforms, administrators, custodians and prime brokers
  • Organize periodic operational reviews with platforms, administrators, custodians and prime brokers
  • Work closely with Business Development, Legal, Compliance and Technology.

 

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain oversight of operational governance, controls and documentation for Managed Accounts
  • Identify operational risks and propose mitigation measures
  • Aided by our IT team, implement scalable tools for monitoring the quality of firm’s Managed Account service
  • Identify enhancements to processes, reporting, and monitoring frameworks
  • Ensure our Managed Accounts service remains scalable and robust as the firm grows

 

 

Profile Sought

 

  • Masters degree in Engineering or Finance
  • Significant experience (10+ years) within asset management, with exposure to alternative investments and managed account services
  • Proven client facing experience
  • Be familiar with industry landscape and current industry trends
  • Strong understanding of front-to-back operational processes, managed account set-ups, delivering solutions for clients and applicable legal & regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to work as a team player across functionally different teams
  • High level of autonomy, judgment, and problem-solving capability
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
