As a Lead Cloud Data Platform Engineer, your role will be to spearhead the creation and optimization of our cloud data platform, ensuring seamless data integration.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping the architecture and leading the development of cloud solutions to enhance the delivery of reliable data pipelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing advanced, reusable infrastructure as code (IaC) templates to efficiently provision and manage cloud resources.
• Architecting comprehensive application blueprints that enable robust and scalable data engineering workflows.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to cloud platform engineers and data engineering/data science teams, supporting onboarding, troubleshooting, and the adoption of best practices.

Qualifications / Required skills

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer and at least 4 years of Cloud experience (AWS)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience in Python development, demonstrating strong proficiency in building scalable applications.
• Deep expertise in AWS, complemented by professional-level certifications or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership experience in a technical role.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment processes.
• Excellent collaborative skills, with the ability to translate complex user requirements into effective technical solutions.

Plusses :

• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Pandas or Spark.
• Understanding of security and compliance best practices within cloud environments.
