Lead Data Scientist Corporate team

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to oversee and drive our Data Insights Corporate team. You will lead the team leveraging Data Science to analyze and process financial data for Research Teams.  

Your role will be pivotal in fostering a close collaboration with Research partners, delivering actionable insights to Research decision-makers and ensuring the quality and robustness of production-grade data pipelines. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record and experience in a similar position, combining strong analytical, relational and leadership skills. 

 

Leadership and Team Management 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists and data engineers. 
  • Involve in dataset trial and pipeline development. 
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. 
  • Set clear goals, assign tasks, and monitor team performance. 
  • Develop and implement data strategies that align with corporate objectives. 
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data architectures. 
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data assets. 

Data Science and Engineering 

  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and predictive algorithms. 
  • Architect and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes. 
  • Translate data into meaningful insights, extract features and promote actionable recommendations. 
  • Communicate findings to Research teams. 

Project Management 

  • Multi-project management, guaranteeing delivery times and alignment with business needs 
  • Coordinate with research teams to understand data needs. 
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and identify opportunities for improvement. 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement 

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and data engineering. 
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team. 
  • Evaluate and implement new tools to improve our data processing capacity. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong background in statistics & probability 
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms and techniques  
  • Expertise in Python, Pandas and NumPy. 
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex data transformation pipelines (AWS is a plus) 
  • Expertise in data validation, visualization and quality monitoring 
  • Ability to drive innovation within the team. 
  • Knowledge of corporate finance data. 
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members / interns. 
  • Ability to coordinate across different teams and manage stakeholder expectations
