ABOUT THE ROLE
At CFM our Legal & Compliance teams are involved in complex projects requiring a deep understanding of financial regulations across the world.
The Regulatory team sits within the Legal and Compliance department of CFM, alongside the Legal and the Internal Control teams. We are looking to hire an English-speaking senior compliance officer in our Paris office to support all aspects of the firm's compliance function. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory, the ideal candidate is a self-starter, attentive to detail, adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
His or her key duties will include:
• Analyzing new compliance requirements and managing implementation projects in collaboration with impacted teams.
• Propose improvements to existing workflows with automation and scalability in mind.
• Supervising certain day to day duties of the team including:
Updating internal procedures & registers.
Carrying out for periodic regulatory filings; maintaining books and records and ensuring completion of files.
Reviewing marketing documentation for use with clients.
Performing due diligence on new data sets acquired by the firm including onboarding documentation.
• Assisting internal clients on any regulatory matter.
• Designing regulatory training materials and ensuring the timely completion of such training by all staff.
• Coordinating with the firm’s outsourced compliance consultants and vendors, as necessary.
• Interacting with regulators and clients as needed.
SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidate should have a Masters degree in Engineering, Capital Markets, Law or another relevant field from a highly regarded establishment, with hands-on experience in similar work at an asset manager, consultant or regulator.
• Good understanding of the regulatory & legal framework applying to a global asset manager ; experience with the compliance aspects of private wealth distribution would be a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Positive, proactive attitude.
• Ability to think constructively about work processes and propose improvements.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
• Ability to federate people with diverging views.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook is required.
