Your Role: Advanced Data Engineer
As a key player in the Data Platform Team, you’ll engage with innovative challenges by developing and sustaining essential tools used by over 50 engineers company wide. Your mission? To fuel discovery and drive the transformation of our data platform, enabling seamless operations in a hybrid environment and advancing data engineering and science.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Tools with Engineering Excellence: Design, build, and maintain high-performance data catalogues and core tools, facilitating comprehensive data exploration and management from ingestion to value realization.
- Empower Through Technology: Leverage cutting-edge Gen AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q) to elevate data engineering processes, adopting best practices to propel innovation.
- Lead and Mentor: Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding cloud platform engineers and data science teams. Facilitate the adoption of best practices, efficient onboarding, and effective problem-solving.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
- Professional Experience: 5-10 years as a Software or Data Engineer, with at least 3 years dedicated to data-centric projects.
- Technical Expertise:

- Proficient in Python development and crafting scalable, high-quality applications.
- Experience with AWS environments and DevOps practices, including the creation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Active familiarity with Gen AI tools for developers; insightful about their capabilities and limitations.
- Collaborative and Communicative: Exceptional ability to convert complex requirements into viable technical solutions through effective teamwork.
Bonus Points:
- Experience deploying Gen AI tools in production, understanding metrics and resolving challenges.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Pandas or Spark.
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in cloud computing environments.
