Your Role

We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to drive the transformation of our options reference data platform.

This is a high-impact mission: rip out legacy Oracle infrastructure and migrate to a scalable, cloud-native Python architecture. You'll modernize mission-critical pipelines that power our investment strategies, elevate the engineering standards of a core platform, and build the foundations for faster, smarter investment decisions.

We need a hands-on engineer with rare technical depth, sharp architectural judgment, and pragmatism to build simple, robust, and yet very scalable systems. You'll operate across three dimensions simultaneously:

Define the target architecture

Execute in the legacy

Accelerate via AI (agents, automation, force multiplication)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the platform redesign → migrate from Oracle-centric paradigm to a highly scalable, cloud-native Python architecture that compounds over time

Design modular ingestion frameworks that simplify the onboarding of new exchanges, datasets, and market coverage over time.

Contribute to dataset analysis and iterate on existing pipelines to guarantee a frictionless transition without breaking production

Work closely with other teams to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and ensure high-quality day-to-day delivery across the platform.

Deploy AI pragmatically and ambitiously (agents, automation, optimization) to compress timelines, kill technical debt, and raise output quality ceiling

Own production → monitoring, alerting, validation, incident response—define and defend the team's deliverables standards

Your Skills

Degree from a top engineering school, or a Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.

10+ years of experience in senior data engineering or software engineering roles within demanding technical environments.

Excellent Python and software engineering skills, with a proven track record of building robust production systems and data pipelines.

Exceptional rigor and attention to detail, with a strong understanding of data quality, production constraints, and operational reliability.

Strong interest in cloud technologies and modern data architectures.

Good understanding of financial markets (options knowledge is a plus), or a strong interest in developing that knowledge in a quantitative environment.

Pragmatic mindset, with sound technical judgment and a preference for simple, effective, and maintainable solutions.

Strong conviction around the value of AI, and eagerness to use it in a meaningful way to improve engineering productivity and delivery quality.

Collaborative and challenge-driven, with the ability to contribute effectively in a hands-on, high-expectation environment.

Professional fluency in English.
