YOUR ROLE 

 

The Trading Core & Model Technology team builds and maintains the core software infrastructure that powers systematic execution strategies. 

Python data pipelines are at the heart of this architecture and are responsible for: 

 

  • Collecting, validating, transforming, and enriching referential data 

  • Orchestrating reliable data flows to feed execution algorithms 

  • Computing execution cost analytics 

 

C++ components handled by other team members manage feed handlers and trading automatons. 

CFM is looking for an experienced Python Software Engineer specialized in building and operating reliable, high-performance and scalable data pipelines to join the team and play a central role in developing and continuously improving this critical layer. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

As a Software Engineer working on Data Pipelines, you will be a key contributor to: 

 

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining and optimizing Python data pipelines 

  • Improving reliability and scalability of data flows 

  • Integrating new data sources and formats 

  • Working closely with researchers to translate their needs into efficient pipelines 

 

YOUR SKILLS 

 

Must-have 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Python development with a focus on data pipelines / data engineering 

  • Proficiency with the Python data ecosystem: pandas, numpy, polars and knowledge of SQL 

  • Solid software engineering practices: unit/integration testing, CI/CD, logs, monitoring 

  • Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) 

  • Rigorous mindset, strong focus on data quality and reliability, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience with C++ is appreciated  

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) 

  • Knowledge of Finance
