ABOUT THE ROLE
The Team
Data is the fuel that powers our investment strategies: intraday price dynamics are used to better our investment decisions; buy/sell intents of market participants help to trade at the best available price… CFM Data team is in charge preparing the data to make quant research easier and trading more reliable.
The Mission
As a senior quantitative developer (data engineer), you will contribute to the success of our strategies by integrating new datasets, developing predictive features and automating their extraction.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand in hand feature development with quantitative researchers
- Industrialization of features extraction pipelines (deployment, data cleaning, monitoring)
- Domain ownership of several datasets, including alpha producing ones
- State of the art monitoring
- Contribution to platform design
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Education: Bachelor or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related Computer Engineering or Science curriculum
- Over 7 years of experience
- Experience in programming languages (python, C++), data manipulation libraries (pandas, spark, polars) and Linux environments (shell, git, slurm)
- Proven experience working with tick-by-tick data
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to solve complex problems
- A passion for learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, with a commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Team player, able to communicate with quant teams
