Internship Overview:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant designed to enhance the efficiency
and effectiveness of the data-support team at CFM, a leading asset management firm. The primary objective is to create a system using a Retrieval-
Augmented Generation (RAG) approach, leveraging a vectorial database populated with alert notices, explanatory documents, resolutions, confluence
documentation, and historical intervention records. The AI assistant will process incoming alerts and provide comprehensive analyses, including alert
severity, prioritization, and actionable recommendations for the data-support team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Analysis:
- Conduct a thorough review of existing CFM documentation and historical records related to data alerts and interventions.
- Understand the data pipeline and alert systems in place at CFM.
2. System Design and Development:
- Design the architecture for the AI assistant, incorporating RAG methodology.
- Develop and implement a vectorial database to store and retrieve relevant documents and records.
3. AI Training and Implementation:
- Train AI models to accurately analyze alerts and provide actionable insights.
- Test and validate the AI assistant's performance and accuracy in real-world scenarios.
4. Integration and Deployment:
- Collaborate with data-referential, data-NLP and data-support teams to integrate the AI assistant into CFM's existing systems.
- Ensure seamless deployment of the assistant, with considerations for data security and compliance.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Document the development process and create a user manual for the AI assistant.
- Prepare regular progress reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong background in computer science, data science, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with vector databases and RAG methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain practical experience in AI development and data analysis.
- Enhance skills in designing and implementing complex AI systems.
- Understand the intricacies of data management within asset management firms.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of alert systems and data pipelines.
- Improve technical documentation and reporting skills.
